While people may think that in "The Worst Day Since Yesterday", episode 3.08, Lucas is not really painting the actual door of his house black, he is. Fans sometimes think otherwise because they know that it is only the outside of this house that is used as Lucas's house, while the inside was built and filmed in Screen Gems Studios. Here is a picture of the house that is used as Lucas's house on One Tree Hill. The door to what would be his bedroom in the show, is indeed black.

This was Peyton's house from seasons 1 to 4. It is a one-of-a-kind, red-bricked house, and it is definitely one of the show's landmarks since so much happened there. Rivercourt
The Rivercourt was used as a basketball court in all 9 seasons. In season 1, it was where the outsiders (Lucas and his friends) would have fun and play basketball. Over time, everyone started coming to the Rivercourt. Whether it was just to hang out, or to have a fun game of basketball, the Rivercourt was the place to be.
Unfortunately, the Rivercourt has been demolished since the show has ended. It was located by the USS North Carolina Battleship, right behind the main parking lot. Although the Rivercourt is now nonexistent, it will always and forever be remembered by One Tree Hill's extremely dedicated fans.

The Rivercourt was a public location and was therefore only closed when it was being used to film a scene from One Tree Hill. Whenever nothing being filmed, hundreds of One Tree Hill fan would visit the Rivercourt to take pictures, play basketball, and even write messages to the cast of One Tree Hill so that they can be read when they were filming the show. There were always so many signatures and messages that it became a routine for the One Tree Hill crew to clean and wash away all of the writing on the Rivercourt a day prior to filming. At times, the Rivercourt was so covered in messages that it was pointless to clean up all of it, and instead the crew would just repaint everything.
One time, Sophia Bush even wrote a message back to her fans!

TRIC/Red Bedroom Records
In season 2, Lucas finds an old, empty, spacious building and decides to fix it up so that he can throw Nathan and Haley a party for their marriage. The party turned out so well and it was such a great place, that Karen decides to open the building as a night club called TRIC. From season 2 to season 4, Karen owns this fantastic night club where many concerts and events take place. At one point, Karen splits her ownership of TRIC in half with Deb. In season 5, Lucas insists that Peyton opens up the back room of TRIC as her own record label. After a lot of convincing, Peyton's dream of owning a record label finally comes true when she opens Red Bedroom Records.
With TRIC as half the building, and Red Bedroom Records as the other, this lovely location is in almost every episode of One Tree Hill, and is a great landmark for the show!

TRIC is also a public location (the outside of the building), so just like the Rivercourt, many fans come and sign their names, write quotes, and write messages to the cast. The only difference is that here at TRIC, since the outside of the building is not used for filming very often, the One Tree Hill crew left all the writing on the bricks.
